Take Route 95 into Connecticut. Exit Route 95 at Delavan Avenue and Byram, Exit #2. Down ramp to stop sign. Turn left onto Byram Shore Road to first traffic light.
Turn right onto Ritch Avenue. Continue and pass under two bridges (max 14ft) to second traffic light at 'Arnold Bakery Outlet' (you will notice that Ritch Avenue has now become Hamilton Avenue).
Continue straight on Hamilton Avenue, through another set of traffic lights. Stone Avenue will be on your right and St Roch Avenue on your left. Continue straight until you see Livingston Place on your left. (You will have covered a total of 1.6 miles since leaving Route 95.)
Turn left into Livingston Place and continue to West Putnam Avenue. At the 'T' you will see Miller Cars, a Ferrari Dealer, on your right. Turn right onto West Putnam Avenue and then immediately on your right and to the left of Miller Cars you will see the Griffin & Howe house, 340 West Putnam Avenue. FROM BOSTON, NEW HAVEN, WESTPORT AND STAMFORD:
Take Route 95 South to Exit 3 at Arch Street, to first traffic light at end of ramp. Turn right and immediately get into left turn lane to turn left at first traffic light. Turn left into Horseneck Lane and continue to next light. Turn right at light into Field Point Road. Drive under bridge to next traffic light. Turn left at light and continue to third right turn which is Livingston Place and continue toward West Putnam Avenue.
Before reaching the avenue you will see a large stone building. At the rear of it, turn right into driveway, then left. You will see a stockade fenced bluestone parking area at rear of the Griffin & Howe house. Park andwalk to front of house.
Alternatively, continue to end of Livingston Place, turn right onto West Putnam Avenue, and see the front of Griffin & Howe house on your right, to the left of the Ferrari dealer, Miller Cars. Turn right onto West Putnam Avenue and then immediately on your right and to the left of Miller Cars you will see the Griffin & Howe house.
