Selling Your Firearm

Griffin & Howe will buy your firearms. We will also sell your firearms on your behalf for a commission. Our procedure is simple and straight forward.

If you have firearms that you wish to sell bring them to any of our locations, or ship them to our New Jersey location. When you ship a firearm to us for any other reason, we will acknowledge receipt of your firearm by email reply if you send an email to ship@griffinhowe.com with the details of what you are shipping to us, and requesting that you wish to be notified when we receive your shipment.

We will inspect the firearms and give you an honest appraisal of their retail value. We will then tell you what you will net if we are to sell the firearms on your behalf, and what we will pay you to purchase firearms from you.  We give you the option, you make the decision.

Your firearms are welcome as trade toward the purchase of another firearm.

Buying Firearms

When buying a firearm from either of our stores the buyer must qualify under federal and local law to acquire a firearm, and must provide us with proper identification and fill in the necessary forms.

If we ship a firearm, we must ship it to another licensed firearms dealer. You will then provide the proper identification and fill in the necessary forms at that dealer.

Normal inspection period, during which you have the right to return the firearm for any reason, is 3 days. Longer periods can be granted if requested in advance. If your purchase was shipped to a dealer you have 3 days from the receipt at the dealer. If the firearm is returned for any reason the buyer is responsible for the freight out and the freight and insurance for the return.

We accept cash, check, money order, Visa, Mastercard and American Express in payment.
